Arctic Monkeys bring their Humbug tour 2009 to Liverpool on Friday 13th November 2009, when they open their Biggest UK tour by playing the Echo Arena. Arctic Monkeys Tickets for Echo Arena, are still on sale from Seatwave. The tour sold out when tickets went on sale in September 2009, but you can get some real bargain on the Seatwave website.
The Arctic Monkeys last played the music hotbed of Liverpool 2 years ago when they played a secret gig at the O2 Academy in Liverpool. The Arctic Monkeys have played all the big festivals in recent years, but this upcoming tour will be their biggest tour to date.
“What’s happened has been proper hysterical,” said singer and guitarist Alex Turner. “If I say phenomenon it sounds like I’m right up myself, but we’d be daft to act like we didn’t realise how incredible it’s been. When it all started we were like ‘what’s going off here?’.”
The Arctic Monkeys have spent a lot of time making music in Liverpool they recorded some of their latest album at the Motor Museum recording studios, just off Lark Lane.
The last time the lads played at the Academy they were supported by Liverpool band The Little Flames and enlisted the services of Wirral guitarist Miles Kane.
