The O2 appearance is the last leg of his magical history tour as he retraces some of the steps taken by the Beatles nearly 50 years ago. The first stop is on 2 December in Hamburg, the city in which the Beatles practised their early rock ‘n’ roll routine, and then McCartney heads for Berlin, Arnhem, Paris, Cologne and Dublin before the O2 celebration, the tour’s only UK date. Speaking about the tour, Paul said: “This is my chance to bring our current show home to where it all began. Starting in Hamburg, ending in London and rocking everywhere in between. I’m very much looking forward to ending the year on a high.”
The seven-date arena outing will take the former Beatle throughout Western Europe, beginning Dec. 2 in Hamburg, Germany, and concluding Dec. 22 in London. The latter show will mark McCartney’s first-ever performance at London’s O2 Arena. The full schedule is shown below.

McCartney will unveil “Good Evening New York City,” a multi-disc live set, Nov. 17. The live collection, which was culled from his three July performance’s at New York’s Citi Field, will be available in two formats: a 3-disc (2 CD/1 DVD) standard edition and a 4-disc (2 CD/2 DVD) deluxe version featuring expanded packaging, as well as a bonus DVD including McCartney’s July 15 performance atop the Ed Sullivan Theater marquee (including bonus songs not aired during “The Late Show with David Letterman” broadcast). High-quality vinyl editions will also be released.
All versions of the forthcoming set include more than 30 songs that total nearly three hours of music, including material from throughout McCartney’s entire career–from The Beatles through Wings and beyond.
McCartney, who earlier this year made his US festival debut at Coachella, released his most recent album of new material, “Memory Almost Full,” in 2007. The record marked the legend’s 21st studio effort and peaked at No. 3 on The Billboard 200.
