The Premier League of Snooker, takes place weekly, and is the only snooker tournament using a league format. It is now in its 24th Season and this year it is entitled the PartyCasino.com Premier League Snooker. The tournament boasts the best players in world snooker, including the rocket Ronnie O’Sullivan who is the current champion. The current world snooker champion John Higgins, and the legend Stephen Hendry amongst others.
The tournament works in the following format, every player plays everyone else in a best of six frame match, a player gets two points for a win and point if it ends 3-3. The top 4 players qualify for the play offs.
The Premier league of snooker prize fund is in excess of £200,000. Players win £1000 per frame won, also they get double that if the score a break of over 100.
