The Teenage Cancer Trust Line up has been announced, the annual music and comedy event celebrates it 9th Birthday this year, and as ever the gigs and comedy shows take place at the world famous Royal Albert Hall in London.
The fist show will be on Tuesday 24th March 2009 when the mercury prize winning Antony & The Johnsons perform in support of their “The Crying Light” album, support will come from Florence and the Machine.
Thursday 26th March 2009 will move aside for Welsh Wizards The Stereophonics. Kelly Jones lead singer of stereophonics has been a huge supporter of the Teenage Cancer Trust having played with The Who at the first Teenager Cancer Trust concert in 2000.
Friday 27th March 2009 will see one of the biggest UK bands of recent years Kasabian, perfrom they have a new album out in June and this will be a second visit to the Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs.
Kasabian lead singer, Tom Meighan says “It’s great we can continue to support Teenage Cancer Trust and help them make a difference. We were inspired after meeting some of the teenagers with cancer at our gigs last year and it really made us want to do more for the charity.”
The final show will take place on Sunday 29th March 2009 when comic due Matthew Horner and James Corden take the stage, the two mates are huge stars following the hugely successdul Gavin and Stacy Sit Com.
